Part of the Clan
Clan Cancer Support was built by a small group of local heroes in 1983 and it’s local heroes who continue to support and sustain our charity today.
For our anniversary year, we’re launching a campaign to celebrate the heroes who made Clan the charity it is today and to encourage many others to come forward.
Entitled ‘Part of the Clan’, the campaign is a rallying call to individuals and businesses to help us achieve our £2m annual funding target, attract 100 new volunteers and engage more service users.
Anyone can be Part of the Clan. From organising a ceilidh, taking on a sponsored challenge, volunteering, choosing us as your charity partner or simply sharing your story about your experience with Clan, there are loads of ways to get involved.

40 for 40
Mark 40 years of Clan Cancer Support with a £40 donation the charity. This amount will provide funding for one exercise session, one listening support session and one complementary treatment for anyone who has been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Invisible Birthday Cake
Leading north-east charity Clan Cancer Support is asking local restaurants to add its invisible birthday cake to their menus to help the charity celebrate its 40th anniversary and support people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
Customers can add a slice of the calorie free item to their order by scanning a QR code displayed on a special birthday menu and making a suggested donation of £3.
