Run, Walk and Cycle Challenges
Run, Walk and Cycle Challenges
Without you, Clan simply wouldn’t be able to offer our free of charge emotional, practical and therapeutic support services to those affected by cancer.
Anything you can give, no matter how small, will have a positive impact on the lives of those who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis.
“Being able to access therapies free of charge was a gift I will never forget. Financially we were struggling for a few months juggling extra child care costs and meeting the usual bills. We were a family that fell through the gap of earning over the threshold for benefits and I not being in new employment long enough to qualify for sick pay. Reflexology was my way of switching off, taking control and trying to heal mentally as well as physically.”
We understand that cancer impacts many aspects of a person’s life. In addition to the considerable physical strain, cancer can also affect mental and emotional wellbeing and cause social, financial and relationship challenges.
Your donation ensures we can help each individual manage their specific issues that occur during their unique cancer experience.
You can make even more of a positive difference with a monthly gift, supporting long-term projects and helping more people to live well with cancer.
“Without Clan Haven, I faced a 130-mile round trip for 20 days in order to access my radiotherapy treatment and I'm not sure I could have managed that. To be able to stay in a safe, secure and pleasant environment for a month, with friendly, welcoming staff meant a great deal to me. I cannot thank Clan enough for simply being there and doing what you do.”
If you’d like to support us regularly but monthly is too much of a commitment, you could set up a regular quarterly, or even annual donation - every penny helps! Simply access our Regular Giving Form from the download section, complete it, and then return it to any Clan centre.
Donating a monthly gift to Clan is an ideal way for your organisation to develop or enhance its CSR initiative. It provides a fantastic opportunity for you to demonstrate to your clients the investment you’re making in your community – how you’re actively helping to improve the quality of life for people impacted by cancer locally.
By supporting Clan, you will be able to see first-hand how your invaluable gift is helping to support those who turn to us for help in their time of need. We will be delighted to provide you with regular updates, and you and your colleagues are welcome to pop in for a catch-up at your local Clan wellbeing centre. Corporate Giving is tax deductible. To find out how this works for your business, please speak to your Accountant or Financial Adviser. Having the certainty of knowing when we will receive donations allows us to plan for the future.
Payroll Giving, also known as Workplace Giving or Give As You Earn (GAYE), allows your staff to give a charitable donation to Clan (or any charity) tax-free through their salary or company pension. It is easy to set up, and any employer in the UK can offer Payroll Giving; regardless of the number of people in your organisation. Schemes and payments are administered by you, the employer, so there is no need for your employees to provide us with bank account information or even an email address.
Payroll Giving provides a great opportunity for you to tell your clients and customers that you and your employees are helping great causes through donating via their pay.
If your donation is a personal gift to Clan please consider making a gift aid declaration to boost your donation by an extra 25%. If you donate online, just tick the 'giftaid it' box at the time of your donation - easy!
If you're not sure what Gift Aid is or if your donation qualifies, you can find more information at www.clancancersupport.org/gift-aid, or by clicking the 'Gift Aid' button in the download section. You can use that same button to update your Gift Aid status with us if it has changed, or just to let us know your status to ensure our records are up to date.
