Clan’s Health and Wellbeing Service focuses on physical exercise and group support for anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis and is delivered by our level 4 trained exercise specialist.
Our 1:1 consultations help individuals focus on improving fatigue levels, increasing overall fitness and dealing with any injuries and limitations. Each client is given a detailed plan with specially tailored advice for people at all stages of their cancer journey including prehabilitation (before treatment), during treatment and rehabilitation (after treatment).
Clan also offers afternoon and evening exercise classes which use a range of techniques and methods adopted from aerobics, pilates, yoga and general fitness training to support the physical and psychological wellbeing of attendees.
Our weekly exercise classes take place at 2pm and 5.30pm fortnightly every Wednesday from January 24,2024 at Clan House in Aberdeen. Each class lasts for approximately one hour and attendees are invited to stay for a chat afterwards.
“I had a lot of muscle problems following my surgery. I visited Clan and was quickly assessed before starting the exercise class which has allowed me to find out what I can do and what I need to build on.
“I have a really physical job and post-surgery there were things I was struggling with. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my movement since I started and I’m now working with the instructor on a plan to continue my fitness journey.”
