CLAN Cancer Support Moves To New Turriff Base
A leading north-east cancer support charity will be operating from a new base in the centre of Turriff from Thursday, 11th May.
CLAN Cancer Support will be providing drop-in support and wellbeing services from within Turriff Library, each Thursday between 10am and 4pm.
Having previously been based within Turriff Townhouse, the move will allow the charity to expand the vital support services it currently provides throughout north-east of Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland, free of charge to anyone affected by cancer.
The charity supports anyone affected by cancer, by providing support, information and wellbeing advice, free of charge, to anyone affected by cancer. The new Turriff base will provide one-to-one listening and support, access to information, as well as complementary therapies and monthly coffee mornings on the first Thursday of each month.
Iona Mitchell, Head of Cancer Support Services at CLAN Cancer Support, is delighted the charity has been able to secure a new base in the heart of the local community.
She said: “CLAN’s aim is to provide cancer support services in the heart of communities, meaning that anyone can access our vital support and wellbeing services as close to their local community as possible.
“By relocating our service base within Turriff, we will be in a position to further expand our services, ensuring they meet the changing needs of the local community.
“I would urge anyone who would like to find out more about CLAN to pop along to our drop-in, where you can meet the team in an informal and relaxed environment.”
CLAN will be based within Turriff Library, The Square, Turriff each Thursday between 10am and 4pm.
CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which provides comfort, support and information, free of charge, for anyone, of any age, affected by any type of cancer. CLAN aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the effects of a serious illness.
