Leo's placement week at CLAN

This week we are delighted to have Leo join team CLAN to learn more about the charity and how we support people affected by cancer. We asked Leo to tell us a bit about himself!

I am a 15 year old school boy who is currently studying at Westhill Academy. I am in my 4th year of study at school and have just began to start to work towards my National 5 qualifications. The 6 subjects which I chose to study are:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Drama
  • Modern Studies
  • Music
  • Business Education

I feel I am quite an artistic kid and that my academic choices reflect that. Out with school I also participate in a drama group and a football team. I would say my favourite hobby and thing to do would be acting. I really enjoy acting as I love performing and the idea of portraying another character really excites me.

I decided to come to CLAN for my work placement as I feel it is a great business which works for a great cause. My Mother Tina O’Boyle works in the children and family department of CLAN so I often get to see the great work in which CLAN undertakes.

For the 1 week in which I am here I am eager to find out more about the different departments of CLAN, how the business runs and the roles and responsibilities within the Communications and Marketing department.

Stay tuned to our social channels as Leo updates on his CLAN journey.
