How you can help us

Whether that support is financial or otherwise, their contribution enables us to continue to deliver physical and emotional support to people impacted by a cancer diagnosis across our communities.”

Our charity partners are hugely important to us. They help us reach new audiences and achieve our fundraising targets. Activity varies from one charity partner to the next, but it could involve attending and/or sponsoring our events, taking on a challenge in aid of Clan or supporting us with corporate volunteering. In return, we work closely with our partners to bolster their efforts through collaboration, shared campaigns, and opportunities to raise awareness and funds for our cancer support services. We aim to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships that make a meaningful impact for everyone involved.
We generally recommend that charity partnerships last for a minimum of one year to allow us the opportunity to get to know your team and build a mutually beneficial activity plan which we can evaluate. We often get feedback from our partners that one year isn’t quite long enough to achieve everything, so we’d always recommend taking on a two-year partnership if possible.
Whilst our charity partners commit to a timeline of activity, our agreement with corporate ambassadors is less time bound and target driven. Instead, our corporate ambassadors communicate with us on the opportunities they’d like to support us on. This open-ended agreement might take the form of a ‘gift in kind’ service, skills sharing or ad-hoc awareness raising and fundraising for Clan. We will always endeavour to recognise businesses who support us in this way, but we don’t provide evaluations and impact reports like we do for our Charity Partners.
Not all corporate support has to be financial. Could your organisation provide volunteers for one of our events? Could you help us raise awareness about our services and fundraising efforts? Or maybe you’d like to provide your business expertise to Clan? All of these activities deliver value to us as a local charity and will be hugely appreciated as we work towards achieving our ambitious fundraising targets.
We are committed to ensuring each of our corporate partnerships are mutually beneficial. All corporate partners will have benefits clearly outlined to them at the outset of any agreement and are scalable dependant on the level of support received. Examples of benefits include complimentary access to networking events, impact stats for CSR and ESG reports (where available) and promotional content across our communications channels and marketing resources.
A lunch and learn session with Clan is the perfect way for us to demonstrate the impact of our services in your community and provide ideas around how your organisation can work with us. We recommend allocating one hour for this session to allow for any questions you may have about partnering with us and please note that we only provide a speaker – not lunch. To facilitate a session at your workplace, please contact our Corporate Fundraising Officer, Lynn Dawson by emailing [email protected]
