The lottery is operated in partnership with a professional lottery management company to ensure it is run fairly, securely and in line with all regulations.

The weekly draw and administration are managed by an experienced external lottery management company.

All winners are selected through a secure and randomised draw process.

Prizes are paid directly to verified winners.

The lottery is a number match game. When you register to play, you will be allocated with a unique six-digit lottery number, which will be yours for as long as you choose to take part. You can purchase more than one lottery number for more chances to win. Every Friday, a random 6-digit winning number sequence is generated. If your digits are in the same position as the digits in the winning number sequence, you win a prize! It’s that simple.

For example, if the winning number for the week is 123456, and your lottery number is 193857, this would be a 3-digit winning match. The 3 highlighted digits are positioned in the same sequence as the winning number, making you a winner!

There’s no need to check your numbers or claim your prize. If you’re a winner you will automatically be contacted.

Every entry has an equal chance of winning, with the winning numbers drawn at random.

Each chance to win costs £1. You can choose to buy more than one, with the total price shown before you complete your entry. 

Unity lottery e-vouchers can be purchased online with the option to buy 1 or 2 weekly entries in either 10, 20, 30 or 50 draws. There is a minimum spend of £10 and a maximum spend of £100 per e-voucher.

Once the e-voucher has been redeemed online the entries will be entered into the next available draw and every draw thereafter until the credit runs out. You can add a personal message and either send the e-voucher directly to the receiver or to yourself for printing or forwarding at a later date.

The Clan lottery is meant to be fun and safe. Only play with money you can afford to spend, and remember that every ticket is a chance to support charity, not a guaranteed win. If you ever feel you’re spending too much, take a break and seek guidance from responsible gambling resources.

There’s no need to check your numbers or do anything to claim your prize. If you match 3 numbers, your additional entries will automatically be added into the next draw.

For cash prizes, players who provided an email address will receive an email notification on the Friday of the draw. Players who do not have an email address will receive a letter in the post.

From 2nd February 2024, our players who pay via direct debit will have their 4 or 5 digit match winnings paid directly into their bank account! The winnings will be paid on the Tuesday following the draw with the payment received 3 working days later. The payment reference for the winnings will be ‘LOTTERYWINNINGS’.

For players who pay by cheque or debit card - 4 or 5 digit match winnings will be paid by cheque sent via post.

If you're lucky enough to match 6 digits and bag the jackpot prize, this will also be paid by cheque.

The promoter of this Unity Lottery is Clan Cancer Support, Clan House, 120 Westburn Road, Aberdeen, AB25 2QA, which is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by Aberdeen City Council.

For the administration of the lottery, Clan partners with Sterling Management Centre Limited, an External Lottery Manager who is licensed by the Gambling Commission who uses the Unity Lottery fundraising platform.

This ensures that the lottery is operated legally and fairly, and allows us to offer the various prizes, the costs of which are covered by the Unity prize pot.

For every £1 played, 50% goes directly to supporting the work carried out by Clan Cancer Support. The remaining 50% goes to Sterling Management Centre Limited - 18.4% is spent on prizes, and 31.6% is spent on expenses and administration of the lottery.
