Insight into sound therapy at CLAN Inverurie

The therapeutic value of Tibetan bowls will fall under the spotlight next week at CLAN Cancer Support’s monthly coffee morning in Inverurie.

The leading north-east cancer support charity will welcome Laura Davison to the morning who will give a talk and demonstration on the relaxation technique.

Laura, who runs the weekly relaxation class at CLAN in Inverurie, will also explain more about how the sound and vibration that arises from striking the bowls can be therapeutic.

Gemma Powell, CLAN’s area services co-ordinator, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Laura along to the morning in what is sure to be an entertaining and informative session on Tibetan bowls.

“Laura will give an insight into how sound can be used for relaxation and will also demonstrate how individuals, who find the technique beneficial, can use it on themselves.”

The coffee morning will take place on Monday, February 2, at the Catholic Church Hall in North Street, Inverurie at 10.30am and is open to anyone affected by any type of cancer. Anyone who would like to find out more about CLAN’s local services and how they can get involved is also welcome.
