Taster of CLAN’s nutrition services on offer in Fraserburgh

The people of Fraserburgh and the surrounding area will be able to get an insight into one of CLAN Cancer Support’s newest services at a special wellbeing event next week.

The charity will welcome along nutritionist Cathy Clark to its centre within Fraserburgh on February 2 between 11am and 2pm.

Cathy will host a nutrition workshop at the event where she will provide a range of dietary advice and information on how healthy eating can help aid general wellbeing. Attendees will also have the chance to sample some of her already much-loved immune boosting smoothies.

CLAN launched its new nutrition service late last year and regularly holds lunchtime taster sessions within the coffee bar at CLAN House in Aberdeen. Individual consultations can also be arranged.

Angie Christie, CLAN’s North Aberdeenshire Co-ordinator, is delighted that Cathy is heading along to give the people of Fraserburgh a taster of the popular service.

She said: “CLAN Cancer Support is committed to offering a wide range of support with an aim of helping people live with and beyond cancer. Our new nutrition service is really there to inform people of the benefits many feel they gain from making subtle changes to their diet.

“We’re delighted to welcome along Cathy to our Fraserburgh centre who will be available to answer questions and provide information, as well as some samples of her tasty immune boosting smoothies.

CLAN’s support and wellbeing centre in Fraserburgh is located at The Hub, 58A High Street and is open every Monday from 10am to 4pm. To register an interest in the nutrition workshop or to find out more, please call 07720 737500 or email fraserburgh@clanhouse.org
