CLAN one of around fifty organisations taking part in annual Volunteer Fayre

News Release issued by ACVO: Around 50 third sector organisations will be showcasing their work this Saturday at the Insight Aberdeen Third Sector and Volunteering Fayre at the Music Hall.

The annual fayre is an opportunity for members of the public to find out more about the charities, community groups and voluntary organisations working within the city and the positive impact which they have on life in Aberdeen. The organisations will also be promoting opportunities to become involved by volunteering.

As part of the Aberdeen Impact Awards, visitors will also have the chance to vote on the day for their favourite local charity which is exhibiting at the fayre.

Local 3rd sector performers will also showcase their talent on the music hall stage. This year’s entertainment is from Create Aberdeen’s inclusive rock choir and the Aberdeen Thai Arts Academy.

Aberdeen Thai Arts Academy promotes Thai drama, music, dance and crafts and incorporates modern style into traditional culture. They will be performing a selection of authentic dances from far-east Asia on stage at 12noon.

Create Aberdeen provides artistic and creative activities for adults with additional support needs. Their rock choir is a new group which will be performing a mixture of rock, pop and traditional songs at 1pm.

The fayre takes place at the Music Hall between 10am-3pm on Saturday 20th July 2013. To find out more, please visit www.acvo.org.uk/Insight.
