Volunteers currently sought in the Elgin area

Friends Of Clan

An open evening will be held Elgin later this month where attendees will hear from members of the CLAN team, including members of CLAN’s fundraising team and fellow volunteers.

It is hoped the new group will meet regularly to plan and deliver a programme of events which will help to raise awareness and generate income for the organisation.

The Elgin open evening will take place on Monday, 25th February between 6pm and 7pm at CLAN Elgin, on the town’s High Street.

Steph McCann, CLAN's Fundraising Team Manager, said: “We have established Friends of CLAN groups in other areas throughout Aberdeenshire and have seen the benefits these bring to CLAN, not only in terms of additional support raising awareness about CLAN’s services but also helping to build crucial community links.

“We have a fantastic team of volunteers who do a great job organising CLAN fundraising events throughout the year and provide crucial support to our teams across the north-east of Scotland and beyond.

“Being part of a Friends of CLAN group is good fun, and it’s not a commitment heavy role. They can be formed with a small core of people who are enthusiastic, committed and enjoy team work.

“We provide excellent support to all our volunteers and new members of the team will be given the assistance they need to enjoy their volunteering experience with us. We will help them gain new skills, grow in confidence and become a vital part of our links with local communities.”
