Need to travel for cancer treatment and hospital appointments in Aberdeen, Elgin or Inverness? We provide transport and Aberdeen-based accommodation services to offer peace of mind and convenience.

We operate a 27 bedroom accommodation facility at Clan House in Aberdeen, just a short drive from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). All guests at Clan House have access to Clan’s complementary transport service which runs Monday - Friday, with drop-off and collection times synced with guest appointment times. Clan also provides free patient transport for clients in Moray for medical appointments in Aberdeen, Elgin and Inverness. 


Services We Offer

Clan provides free physical and emotional support for people of all ages and with all types of cancers from our network of wellbeing centres across North East Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.

Emotional Support and Counselling

Need someone to talk to about your or a loved one’s cancer diagnosis? At Clan, we can give you time and space to talk to someone who understands your feelings. Support is available at all of our centres from trained staff and support volunteers.

Accommodation

Cut down on travel miles by staying close to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for cancer treatment. Clan’s accommodation service is available for treatment patients at ARI, as well as their family and loved ones. We provide a safe, supportive and comfortable place to stay for anyone who needs to be there, with free transport to and from ARI.

Complementary Therapies

Clan’s complementary therapies include massage therapy, aromatherapy, reflexology and more. They are for anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis, including young people. They align with the credible therapies provided by the NHS, ensuring a continuation of care in the community for those affected by cancer.

Children and Family Services

For young people navigating a cancer diagnosis for themselves or dealing with the diagnosis of a loved one, Clan can provide specialist support. Our Children and Family Services (CFS) team is trained to deliver age-appropriate support to empower them to build resilience and adopt healthy habits when facing change and loss.

Support Groups

Clan’s Support Groups are open to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, including loved ones of patients. They offer opportunities for those affected by cancer to meet others in a discreet and welcoming environment — supportive and welcoming gatherings for those navigating a diagnosis and their loved ones.
