Wellbeing Open Day showcases salon & nutrition services

CLAN Cancer Support will host a wellbeing open day in Aberdeen on Tuesday (November 4) as the charity puts a range of new services in the spotlight.

The free event will run from 10am to 2pm at CLAN House on the city’s Westburn Road and will offer more information on recent developments at the charity’s salon.

New services for those affected by cancer include lingerie advice and bra fitting as well as skincare consultations. Haircutting and wig styling continue to be an essential part of the existing salon service. In addition, Tuesday’s event will offer taster sessions of some of the therapies offered by CLAN as well as diet and nutritional advice. Estelle Robb is among those leading specialist salon services for the charity.

Whether it is simply a case of looking for a listening ear or for the wealth of different therapies and services available, every individual is able to access what is right for them.

“Having first visited CLAN during my own treatment, I am pleased to be able to give something back. . The wellbeing event will give an insight to what CLAN can offer. ”

Lucy Whiteman, CLAN services manager, said: “We offer a wide range of support helping people live with and beyond cancer. The wellbeing event has been designed to encourage people to come along to find out more about the services available, both at CLAN House and our community bases.”
