Santa Claus is coming to town.
In the heart of Aberdeen, Santa and his band of merry elves are once again setting up their magical winter wonderland at Bon Accord, bringing festive joy to children from all across the north-east.
Families are invited to come on down to Father Christmas’ special grotto in the upper mall from November 17 and share their Christmas wishes with the man himself in the run up to the big day.
Best of all, the wonderland is brought to families in partnership with CLAN Cancer Support, with all proceeds going towards the charity, which provides free support services to anyone affected by cancer throughout north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
Craig Stevenson, centre manager Bon Accord, said: “Santa and his elves have been working day and night to bring the magic of Christmas to Bon Accord for all the boys and girls to enjoy.
“We are always looking for ways to add a special something to our visitor’s experience, and by welcoming back Santa to the centre, we hope we have added a little Christmas sparkle to their hearts.
“To add to this, in the true spirit of giving during the festive season, all proceeds will again go to CLAN Cancer Support, so what could be better?”
Fiona Fernie, CLAN Cancer Support’s Head of Income Generation and Business Development, said; “We are delighted to be working with the Bon Accord team to bring the magic of Christmas to children and families in the run up to Christmas.
“The support we have received from people visiting the grotto in previous years has been fantastic and this year promises to be no different. I’ve been lucky enough to have a sneak peek at the Grotto and I know everyone is in for a memorable Christmas experience.”
As this is a very busy time of the year all, Santa’s winter wonderland will be open weekends from 17 Nov then every day from 9 Dec until Christmas Eve.
