Items to go under the hammer for CLAN Cancer Support

Five signed limited edition prints by revered north-east artist Eric Auld are among over 100 lots set to be auctioned off to raise funds for CLAN.

CLAN Cancer Support’s annual charity shop auction will take place on Wednesday, May 06, from 7pm to 10pm at CLAN House on Westburn Road.

Two viewing sessions on the same day, from 10am to 4pm and 5.30pm and 6.30pm, will also take place, giving interested attendees a chance to inspect the items prior to purchase.

Alongside the Eric Auld prints, keen bidders will also be able to get their hands on an impressive array of furniture, art, ceramics, jewellery, vintage items and curios, all of which have been donated to CLAN either through our charity shops or specifically for the auction.

A first edition copy of A. A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh novel, a vintage Jane Shilton bag and purse, a Hammersley & Co. tea set and a small Chanson accordion are expected to be among the most popular items, with all proceeds from the live event set to go to the north-east charity.

Lorna Gates, CLAN’s senior shop manager, said: “Our annual auction has established itself on the calendar of many of the north-east’s antique lovers and this year’s event is set to be no exception with a range of fantastic items primed to generate a high level of interest. The pieces on offer have all either been sourced from our various charity shops or donated directly to CLAN, enabling all proceeds from the evening to go towards our provision of free support services to anyone affected by cancer throughout the north-east of Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. The theatre of a live auction is always special and I’m sure there will be a high level of excitement generated on the night. It’s a great chance for individuals to have fun and purchase a range of quality antiques all while helping support CLAN and its work throughout the region.”

Tickets for our charity shop auction cost £5 and are available from all its charity shops as well as CLAN House on Westburn Road. Light refreshments will also be available on the night.
