Guest speaker for CLAN in Inverurie

CLAN Cancer Support is giving people the chance to hear about its extensive library and information service at its monthly coffee morning in Inverurie.

The charity will welcome its information co-ordinator Joan Cowie to the morning on June 2, who will give a short talk on the information CLAN can provide and how it can be used to help answer some of the many questions that arise as a result of a cancer diagnosis.

CLAN’s information centre and library is situated within CLAN House in Aberdeen and includes a wide range of cancer related books, booklets, leaflets, DVDs and CDs. For those who aren’t able to visit, items can be sent out by post on request.

Gemma Powell, CLAN’s area services co-ordinator, said: “People can often feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information that is available with regards to a cancer diagnosis and CLAN’s library and information service is there to really tailor information to each specific person’s requirements.

“We’re delighted to welcome Joan along to our popular monthly coffee morning in Inverurie and it will be great to spread the word of our information service and library and how it can help.”

The coffee morning will take place at the Catholic Church Hall in North Street in Inverurie at 10.30am and is open to anyone affected by any type of cancer.
