Eating for wellness workshop organsied by CLAN Inverurie
The importance of diet and nutrition and how it can help optimise recovery is to be discussed at workshop being organised by CLAN Cancer Support in Inverurie.
CLAN will welcome nutritional therapist Cathy Clark to its get together on Tuesday, May 6, from 2pm to 4pm at the charity’s base within the Catholic Church Halls on North Street in Inverurie.
Open to anyone affected by cancer, attendees will receive a short presentation on healthy eating as a lifestyle choice and how it may be able to help support the recovery and well-being of an individual. There will also be the chance to taste a range of different foods and recipes alongside hearing about simple and practical health suggestions that people might find beneficial to their daily routine.
Gemma Powell, CLAN’s Aberdeenshire area service coordinator, said: “We often find that subtle changes to a person’s diet and lifestyle can help support them in their recovery and in their general well-being so we believe it’s definitely something to consider.
“We’re delighted to welcome Cathy along to what I’m sure will be an informative and enjoyable evening for all those who attend.”
CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity. It is open three days a week in Inverurie offering a drop-in service, complementary therapies and counselling as well as a regular relaxation classes and monthly coffee mornings.
