CLAN Stonehaven To Provide Services at Invercarron Resource Centre

From 26th April 2017, CLAN Cancer Support will provide services for anyone affected by cancer on a monthly basis within Stonehaven's Invercarron Resource Centre.

Taking place on the last Thursday of each month, CLAN will hold drop-in sessions - allowing people to access support and information, free of charge and without need for an appointment - between 1.30pm and 4.00pm.

CLAN will also offer a free relaxation and visualisation class for anyone affected by cancer between 2.00pm - 3.00pm on the same day.

CLAN Stonehaven's Robert Street base closed at the end of March 2017 and CLAN has been actively seeking alternative arrangements.

Iona Mitchell, CLAN's Services Manager, said: "We continually assess the provision of our services across the regions in which we work, in line with local requirements. The decision to relocate from our existing Stonehaven base has been taken as we strive to ensure our services are as accessible as possible to members of the public and responsive to need in the area.

“We are committed to providing cancer support services, free of charge, in the Stonehaven and Mearns area and are currently pursuing other opportunities which we will announce in due course. In the interim, existing clients can continue to access emotional support and other services through our bases in Aberdeen and Banchory with telephone support available by contacting CLAN House on (01224) 647000."
