CLAN says thank you at final coffee morning of the year

CLAN Cancer Support has paid tribute to its loyal supporters and volunteers as it holds its final coffee morning of the year this week.

CLAN will hold the get together on Wednesday (December 3) from 10am to 12pm at CLAN House on Westburn Road in what will be its final coffee morning before they recommence in the new year (February 5, 2014).

The charity has paid tribute to the band of volunteers who have helped out at the monthly event, with the mornings providing a chance for visitors to find out more about CLAN’s services and how to get involved with the charity.

Susan Crighton, CLAN’s fundraising manager, said: “Our monthly Aberdeen coffee mornings are always a popular event and there is a great community spirit between those who attend.

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has attended these over the course of the year and we’re entirely grateful to those volunteers who regular bake and take time out from their own busy schedules to help us on a Wednesday morning.

“The mornings give people a chance to find out more about the free support services we offer to anyone affected by cancer alongside information on how they can get involved with the charity, whether it is through fundraising, volunteering or supporting one of our many events that we hold throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming old and new faces back again in the New Year.”

Teas and coffees are £2 with a range of Christmas cards, wrapping paper and stocking fillers also on sale. For further information, contact CLAN on 01224 647000.
