CLAN recognised for community work

CLAN Cancer Support has continued its 30th anniversary celebrations with recognition at a prestigious awards ceremony. The charity won the Community Award at the Trend Life with Style Awards, presented in Aberdeen, after impressing judges with its commitment to providing comfort, support and information to a growing number of clients. Debbie Thomson, chief executive of CLAN, said: “We are obviously delighted to have won the award. What came across on the evening was the wonderful sense of warmth and support there is for CLAN and that is very heartening as we look to build on the success of our first 30 years. “The award is wonderful local recognition of the work we have done, we are doing and will continue to do to support those living with cancer in our community and my thanks go to the dedicated team of employees and volunteers who are the driving force behind CLAN.” CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which provides comfort, support and information, free of charge, for anyone, of any age, affected by any type of cancer.
