CLAN opens doors to new Drop-In Centre in Moray

A local cancer support charity is to open the doors of its new drop-in centre to give local people the chance to find out more about the range of support services it provides in Moray.

CLAN Cancer Support in partnership with Elgin & District Cancer Support Group, is to host a series of open days from its new centre at 227 High Street that will give local people the opportunity to find out more about the services it can provide alongside a chance to meet the charity’s Moray services co-ordinator Tracy Sellar.

There will also be a chance to find out how to become a volunteer for the charity as well as taster sessions for a number of the free therapies that CLAN can provide to anyone affected by cancer.

The open days will run from Tuesday, June 25, to Saturday, June 29, at a range of morning, afternoon and evening times.

Tracy Sellar, CLAN’s Moray services co-ordinator, said: “CLAN has already enjoyed a long and successful working relationship with Elgin & District Cancer Support Group and we are delighted to be working together to bring an enhanced support service to those living in Elgin and the surrounding district who are affected by cancer.

“The open days will give potential service users and volunteers the chance to drop-in and find out more information about our range of free services and will also give people a chance to have a taster of some of the therapies that we can provide.”

The drop-in centre itself will officially open on Monday, July 1 at 10am and will be open weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. For more information on the new centre and its opening times, contact Moray services co-ordinator Tracy Sellar on 01343 544132 or email tracy.sellar@clanhouse.org
