Clan Cancer Support is inviting Orcadians to come together for a community coffee morning fundraiser in Kirkwall next month.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 10am to 12pm at King Street Halls, located at 6 King Street in Kirkwall, and will raise vital funds to support the charity.
Members of the public are welcome to drop in throughout the morning, with a suggested donation of £3 for entry.
There will be a range of fun activities for all ages including raffles, stalls and games, with the opportunity to win prizes and take part in the popular Orkney Chair Raffle, which will be drawn at a later date.
Karen Farquhar, Clan Orkney area service coordinator said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the community along to our coffee morning in April. It’s a great opportunity for people to come together and support the work Clan does in Orkney.
“We hope families, friends, and people of all ages will come along to join us helping us raise vital funds for Clan.”
The charity is also inviting the community to donate home bakes and bottles for the bottle stall at the event. You can sign-up to get involved here.
All funds raised will help the charity continue to provide free emotional and physical support for people of all ages who are impacted by a cancer diagnosis across the north-east, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
Clan provided 837 drop-in sessions in Orkney over the last year and welcomed 172 new clients.
Clan’s Kirkwall centre is based at 30 Victoria Street and is open to clients from 10am – 4pm Monday to Thursday.
