CLAN Cancer Support Extends Range of Nutrition Services
A leading north-east charity is extending its range of nutrition services due to strong interest.
CLAN Cancer Support launched its new nutrition service late last year and has been introducing it across its support and wellbeing centres throughout north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
The charity is now offering one-to-one consultations at CLAN House with nutritionist Cathy Clark on most Mondays, in addition to the appointments already available on Wednesdays, with the next sessions on Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 9.
Lucy Whiteman, CLAN’s services manager, said: “We have received great feedback from clients since we introduced the nutrition service and we are delighted to be able to extend provision at CLAN House.
“The service was set up to help inform of the benefits they could gain from making subtle changes to their diet, and Cathy is able to provide dietary tips and advice on how healthy eating can help aid general wellbeing. Bookings are required for individual appointments but complimentary taste tips and recipes are also available at the coffee bar in CLAN House, where people are very welcome to join us at any time during the lunchtime tasters on the above dates.”
CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which provides comfort support and information, free of charge, for anyone, of any age, affected by any type of cancer. CLAN aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the effects of a serious illness.
