Where words take root is designed by P1, P3, P5, and P7 pupils from Lairhillock Primary School. The sculpture is a heartwarming tribute to the school’s values and the beauty of its surroundings. Inspired by the wide-open fields and breathtaking views, as well as a love of reading. Alby the bookworm explores the features of the pupils’ favourite characters from cherished books. The bench displays the school’s values with a rainbow symbolizing community, kindness, wellbeing, dreaming big, and responsibility. This serves as a reminder of the nurturing environment at Lairhillock, where students can engage with both nature and learning.
