Where Ideas Take a Seat. I Belong; We Achieve
📍 Aberdeen Science Centre
Where Ideas Take a Seat. I Belong; We Achieve is designed by the pupils of St Machar Academy. The design was inspired by the work of Johanna Basford and the people’s journey of learning to open up, speak, and listen to each other about life’s challenges. The group has been exploring the importance of community support, connection, and shared experiences, with the motto “I belong; We achieve.” The artwork reflects both individual personalities and collective experiences, capturing images that resonate with everyone, from shared memories like the love of canteen-baked tatties, to themes of school, friendships, and personal stories. This piece celebrates the power of unity, belonging, and the strength that comes from working together.
