Scotland in Our Hands
📍 Aberdeen Library
Scotland in Our Hands is designed by the pupils of Bucksburn Academy. This bench celebrates Scotland’s beauty and the inclusive spirit of Bucksburn School’s Wing. The back features a Scottish seascape with a rising sun, its rays transformed into tartan patterns. The sides of the bench resemble an open book with a rainbow, symbolizing diversity and learning. Underneath, black-and-white drawings of happy pupils reflect the school community. The front showcases Bucksburn School, including the Wing, surrounded by Makaton and other symbols, a row of pupils holding hands, and a wheelchair user, representing inclusion and belonging.
