Rock and Roll Dreams
📍 Hazelhead park, Aberdeen
Ian Matthew
Inspired by the Jim Steinman song Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through, which depicts how rock music is always there to lift you up and help you through troubled times, Ian decided to create the design in two halves. The front features a jukebox with playlists of those boppin’ tunes that get the feet tapping. From the rear, you can see an amp with a guitar, the mainstay of rock music that produces those riffs which are the hallmark of any Rock and Roll song.
If want to hear all the songs listed on the playlist they can be downloaded via Spotify by scanning the scan codes on the back and front of the sculpture.
