CLAN Cancer Support

Read, Learn and Aspire is designed by Julia Dyda, Amelka Lewandowska, Maja Glowacka, Roksana Smolinska and Ellie Gray, with support from art teacher Lorna Hamilton of Lochside Academy. The pupils drew inspiration from their school journey, incorporating the imagination of A.A. Milne and the powerful words of William Shakespeare. Ideas were shared and combined to create the final design, with each contributor bringing something unique to the piece. The bench also features special artwork by Elsa Buchan, a Lochside pupil who sadly passed away in 2024. The pupils were proud to see their ideas come to life and hope the bench inspires others to be creative, dream big, and explore the world of literature.
