ZX81

ZX81 painted the bench in the style of copper panels riveted together. It incorporates a line from Aberdeen’s own Annie Lennox: “Well I thought my time was over, but it’s only just begun,” written out in copper rivets as braille. An additional plaque is added with correctly sized braille for accessibility. Reflecting both the copper-sheathed hulls of Aberdeen’s shipbuilding history and the copper stills used in Scottish whisky distillation, the bench stands as a glowing reminder that Scotland itself shines like copper.
