On the Crest of a Wave
📍 Aberdeen Beach
Ewen J Milne
This abstract BookBench invites you to experience the historical charm of the sea. Painted with a stunning seascape of Aberdeen Harbour, it captures tall ships passing the harbour breakwater at sunrise. The waves and reflective surfaces come alive, creating the illusion that you can “sit on the crest of a wave”, providing a perfect spot to relax and let your imagination sail away. This sculpture is part of The Tall Ships Short Story Trail – a collection of 12 specially-commissioned BookBench works, as part of the artistic celebration of the Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025.
