CLAN Cancer Support

In the beginning is designed by the pupils of Ellon Primary School. As the designs were reviewed, a theme emerged based on random words: favourite times of the year, various positive emotions, and ‘wow’ words (the kind of words that encouraged pupils in writing tasks to create atmosphere, describe a place or character). Some designs also included the opening sentences of favourite storybooks or novels. It seemed fitting for a BookBench to combine these two ideas, using what is potentially the most famous opening sentence as the title.
