Jina has always been fascinated with folklore and mythological creatures. She discovered other shape-shifting water spirits native to Orkney and Shetland, such as Tangies and Nuggles. Folklore stories often have deep roots in oral tradition, and she was drawn to the idea of people sitting on a bench, sharing stories about these mythical beings and the rich mythology surrounding them.
