Refreshed CLAN Cancer Support Rosemount Shop Re-opened

Rosemount-Refurb

A leading north-east cancer support charity has re-opened one of its shops in the heart of Aberdeen with a refreshed look and new brand to appeal to customers.

CLAN Cancer Support officially re-opened its popular shop at 117 Rosemount Place on Thursday, November 2 following a refresh of the shop’s layout as well as the charity’s branding.

Long-standing CLAN volunteer Betty Rollo, who has worked at the shop since 2003, cut the ribbon along with CLAN Cancer Support Board member, Jackie Allen, to mark the re-opening.

The shop was closed over the summer for the works to be completed and the charity has asked members of the public to help re-stock the shop with items for sale in the run-up to the Christmas period.

Customers of the shop will also get a first glimpse of CLAN’s new Christmas stock including, Christmas cards and Christmas wrapping paper.

The Rosemount shop is the first to make use of the charity’s new branding which will be rolled out across the other CLAN shops in the north-east, Moray Orkney and Shetland.

Dr Colette Backwell, chief executive of CLAN Cancer Support, said: “We’re delighted with the fresh look of our Rosemount shop and I hope people enjoy visiting us in the days ahead to see the new layout which will allow for a more comfortable customer experience.

“Our charity shops generate a significant part of our income that helps us provide much needed cancer support services in local communities.

“New stock is always very important to us and we need the public’s help by donating items to sell at the shop. We have had a great response to our need for clothes since reopening and would be delighted to receive any donations of good quality bric-a-brac and household goods to fill the shop in the run up to Christmas.

“The charity’s new branding will soon be used across all of our shops and wellbeing centres. The re-opening is the perfect opportunity for us to show off the new look, which has been well received so far.”

CLAN Cancer Support would like to thank the organisations and businesses involved in the project including KW Contractors Ltd, KORE Solutions, Rood Signs, Passell, Jasmine Ltd and the many Rosemount businesses who supported the opening event.
