CLAN Cancer Support is giving people the chance to hear about the benefits of massage at its monthly coffee morning in Inverurie.
The charity will welcome representatives from the IRIS Cancer Partnership to the morning on April 7, who will give a presentation and demonstration on the benefits of massage for those diagnosed with cancer.
Jane Henderson and Helen Bellarby from the organisation will discuss the research that has been carried out on the effects of oncology massage and how they have found it can help people who are experiencing a number of adverse effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatments.
Gemma Powell, CLAN’s area services co-ordinator, said: “Massage is one of a number of complementary therapies we offer at CLAN for those affected by cancer. We are delighted to work with the Iris Partnership and hear more on their findings about safe and effective massage for those with cancer.”
