CLAN set to hold popular fundraising lunch

CLAN Cancer Support is set to host its annual lunch at the Marcliffe Hotel on Wednesday, 25 April.

For the second year, the event will be sponsored by BP ensuring that every penny from ticket sales and donations at the event goes to CLAN.

The event will run from 11.15am to 14.30.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to do a bit of shopping from stalls featuring goods from JJ Gifts, Kaga Gifts as well as items from the CLAN Cancer Support charity shops.

Last year’s lunch raised £12,500 for CLAN, and fundraising manager, Susan Crighton, is confident that this year’s lunch will prove just as successful.

She said: “The CLAN lunch has become an extremely popular event in our fundraising diary and a lot of the same guests come back each year.

“Last year we raised a great sum for CLAN and hopefully this will be the case again this year.

“We are extremely grateful to BP for once again sponsoring the event, ensuring that everything raised on the day, comes directly to CLAN.”
