CLAN hosts fatigue management talk in Inverurie

Expert advice on fatigue management will be on offer at a talk in Inverurie hosted by a local cancer charity, CLAN Cancer The charity is staging the event at one of its regular coffee mornings at the Catholic Church Halls on North Street, Inverurie on Monday, March 4, at 10.30 am.

Angela Eggerton, Occupational Therapist at Inverurie Hospital will be the guest speaker and will be offering practical advice on how to cope with tiredness and fatigue. She will give a short talk and there will be time for questions and a discussion as well.

Gemma Powell, CLAN’s area services coordinator, said: “We know that many people are affected by fatigue during or after cancer treatment.

“Angela’s talk will focus on hints and tips about how to cope better and I would encourage anyone who has been affected by cancer – either personally, or as a carer, relative or friend - to come along. We have hosted similar presentations at our bases in Ballater and Stonehaven and I know that those who attended found the session interesting and helpful.”

CLAN is based at the Catholic Church Halls two full days a week offering a drop-in service, complementary therapies and counselling in Inverurie as well as a regular relaxation classes and monthly coffee mornings.
