Volunteering can have an authentic and positive affect on people, communities and society in general. At Clan you can make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer through varies ways of volunteering.

Volunteering can help you learn new skills, gain experience and sometimes even qualifications. At Clan we pride ourselves in providing important Listening and Support Training as well as providing further learning opportunities for all our volunteers no matter what area you are in.

Volunteering can help you meet different kinds of people and make new friends.
The long-term effects of socialising through volunteering are incredibly positive as well as improving your mental and physical health. Meeting new people can give you a sense of community and involvement which contributes to our wellbeing.
Get fit and healthy
In many volunteer roles you could find yourself up and about, taking on tasks that you might not even realise are keeping you fit! Clan's Charity shops can be busy places. By keeping them tidy, stocking shelves, and even steaming clothes, you could improving your fitness by the minute. Our event volunteering roles are also a sure way to keep you on your toes with lots of cheering, organising, and stall manning on the go!
