Area Services Co-ordinator (North Aberdeenshire)

Clan is recruiting a new member of the team to lead our cancer support services in the North Aberdeenshire area. If you are a people person, who is innovative and enthusiastic about developing and delivering cancer support services in local communities then we want to hear from you!

The Area Services Coordinator is an exciting and fulfilling role that makes a difference to local people impacted by cancer. The need for our services is consistently growing therefore we are seeking someone with passion and drive to lead a team of volunteers and complementary therapists to meet the emotional and physical needs of our clients. Our wellbeing centre located in MACBI Community Centre in Mintlaw, provides a 3-day per week support service. The Area Services Coordinator should be someone confident in demonstrating leadership to a team of support volunteers and complementary therapists, as well as being the lead contact for key stakeholders for local businesses, health professionals and other third sector organisations in the area.

A key area of focus throughout 2024 is the North Aberdeenshire service’s planned outreach into HMP Grampian, delivering direct emotional support to staff and prisoners impacted by cancer. This expansion will require the Area Services Coordinator to develop the outreach service further and recruit a dedicated team of volunteers with specific skills and aptitude for working in the prison. Professional training and development will be provided for the successful candidate. This is an exciting time for Clan’s developing partnership with the Scottish Prison Service as this project underpins our values and mission to provide cancer support for all.

If this varied role excites and intrigues you, please apply! Full details can be found in the attached job description.

Interviews to be held on Monday 3rd June 2024 at MACBI Centre, Mintlaw.
