CLAN Lunch
CLAN offers and hosts a number of group and social activities both at CLAN House in Aberdeen and throughout many of our wellbeing and support centres within the heart of communities.
Most groups and activities are provided free of charge and all are available to anyone affected by cancer - patients, carers and family members. Each group provides friendship, peer group support and relaxation in a welcoming and supportive environment. You do not need to make a booking - you will be made very welcome. You can find out what is currently available at your local CLAN centre here.
Opportunity to meet with others affected by cancer who share an interest in arts, craft, knitting and crochet. Materials are provided but you are welcome to bring along your own projects.
Meet others, find out about new authors, or share your favourite read, on the last Monday of each month in Inverurie.
Social and fun activities for children and young people affected by cancer.
Many of our community bases hold regular coffee mornings, often inviting a guest speaker and always making sure there is time to chat with others.
Providing social and fun activities for men of all ages who have been affected by cancer. Regular meetings are held at CLAN Elgin and CLAN Orkney, and Men’s Movie Nights take place at CLAN House, offering friendship and peer support in a relaxed environment.
An informal group activity lasting one hour. It is designed to help alleviate stress by incorporating Qi-gong breathing techniques, meditation and visualisation. A relaxation/mindfulness group is also held in Elgin.
Expressive writing can have a positive impact on wellbeing. The two hour-long workshops have been designed to give people the time and space to express their thoughts and feelings freely.
