Vintage Chic offers festive cheer for CLAN

CLAN Cancer Support has seen its shop outlets record their busiest December yet as customers embraced the festive party season.

CLAN's numerous charity shops in Aberdeen have witnessed a rush in sales with party goers flocking to their outlets to snap up a festive party costume – without having to spend a fortune.

Amongst the most popular sections is ladies wear, with vintage look party dresses, retro-themed handbags and high heel shoes being purchased within minutes of being put on display.

Lorna Gates, shop manager with CLAN, said: “The vintage look has proved extremely popular in 2012 and this has been highlighted through our sales this month so far.

“Our retro cocktail dresses and shoes have been our best selling items in light of the current festive party season and it’s refreshing to know that you can get good looking outfits without breaking the bank.”

“We’ve had a great year, with all our outlets becoming busier and busier as it progressed, leading up to our most profitable December ever.”

CLAN’s charity shop outlets in Rosemount Place, Chapel Street and Clifton Road also stocked a range of seasonal goods such as cards, wrapping paper, decorations and advent calendars, as well as a large number of gift sets throughout December.

A total of 84 volunteers work across all three outlets in Aberdeen, providing service to the shops for free. The charity also has an outlet presence in Ballater, Orkney and Shetland.
