Qigong taster session at CLAN Inverurie coffee morning

A unique method of improving your health will be discussed at the CLAN Cancer Support coffee morning in Inverurie on Thursday, July 4.

Therapist Maureen Robertson will be talking about Qigong, a type of gentle exercise that uses breathing and slow controlled movements to release energy and promote calmness.

Maureen said: “This is a brilliant way to reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being. Qigong is simple to try and the effects can be felt even after a short session.”

Gemma Powell, CLAN’s area services co-ordinator, commented: “At CLAN we recognise the benefits many people receive from group based exercises and this is a great chance for the people of Inverurie to find out more about this unique method of improving your health.”

The coffee morning will take place at the Catholic Church Hall in North Street, Inverurie at 10.30am and is open to anyone affected by any type of cancer.

CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity. It is open two days a week in Inverurie offering a drop-in service, complementary therapies, counselling and monthly coffee mornings. For more information visit www.clanhouse.org or contact CLAN’s local co-ordinators on 07834 465602.
