Golfers to tee off for CLAN

Local golfers have until the end of the week to sign up for a Pro-Am event which aims to raise funds for a CLAN Cancer Support.

Insch Golf Club is hosting the event on Friday, August 10, in aid of CLAN and is advising anyone who would like to take part, that time is running out to sign up.

The event is open to teams of three, with each team being bolstered by the addition of a PGA Young professional. The cost of entering a team is £350.

The 18-hole event features a shotgun start and prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and the nearest the pin shot.

Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, said: “We are delighted that Insch Golf Club are supporting CLAN and hosting this wonderful event.

“If past Pro-Am events are anything to go by, I am sure that this will be a great day out for all involved.

“These kind of fundraising events are always fantastic for charities such as CLAN Cancer Support, and I would like to thank everyone involved in organising this day for all their hard work.”
