CLAN Cancer Support is set to open a clearance outlet shop in Aberdeen on Monday 30 July. The premises on Clifton Road, Aberdeen, will initially be open for a special period of one week, from Monday, 30 July to Friday, 03 August.

Following the opening week, the shop will then be open every Tuesday between 10am and 4pm.

The new shop will stock a wide range of clothes and bric-a-brac along with small items of furniture.

Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, says the opening of the outlet is an important step for the charity.

She said: “The support we receive through our charity shops, in terms of both donations received and subsequent funds raised, is extremely important to us as it allows us to continue to offer support and advice to so many people throughout Grampian, Orkney and Shetland.

“This tremendous support led us to look into the possibility of adding an outlet shop to our existing number of shops. We were delighted when the opportunity of opening a facility at the Clifton Road site came our way.

“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the facility during our opening week and I am sure that the outlet will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

The new outlet facility will be based on Clifton Road, Aberdeen, opposite The Northern Hotel. The charity currently has four charity shops - two in Aberdeen, one in Ballater, one in Kirkwall and will soon be opening a shop in Lerwick.

CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which provides comfort, support and information, free of charge, for anyone, of any age, affected by any type of cancer. CLAN aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the affects of a serious illness.
