CLAN hosts fashion show with a twist

A local cancer support charity is hosting a fashion show this week to showcase the wide range of high quality stock in its two Aberdeen charity shops.

CLAN Cancer Support is holding the show at its Westburn Road headquarters on Wednesday, May 02, and all the clothes on the catwalk will be sourced from the charity’s own shops.

As well as showcasing all its own stock, all the models taking part in the event will be volunteers from the charity.

All proceeds from the fashion show will go towards CLAN Cancer Support and Susan Crighton, fundraising manager for the charity, is confident the event will be a success.

She said: “We are all looking forward to the fashion show as it is an ideal opportunity for us to highlight some of the fantastic stock we have on offer in our shops.

“We receive a fantastic number of high quality donations to our shops and this is a vital part of our fundraising effort. At our recent BP sponsored lunch event we had the opportunity to showcase some outfits and received some fantastic feedback from guests.

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in fashion to pop along and see for themselves just what we have on offer – and potentially bag themselves a bargain!”

The event will start at 7pm with tickets priced £7.50 and £5 for concessions. Tickets are available from either of the CLAN shops on Chapel Street or Rosemount Place, Aberdeen, or at CLAN House and should be purchased before the event.

CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which offers support to anyone affected by cancer. Based in Aberdeen, the charity covers the whole of Grampian, Orkney and Shetland. CLAN is also developing services in the community and now has a presence in Ballater, Inverurie, Peterhead, Stonehaven, Orkney and Shetland.
