CLAN Fundraisers Tee Off for Golf Event

Local golfers teed off in aid of an Aberdeen-based charity, raising more than £3,000.

Insch Golf Club hosted its annual Young Pro-Am tournament on Friday (August 10) in aid of CLAN Cancer Support.

On the day, 80 people took part in the event, which featured a shotgun start and prizes for the longest drive and the nearest the pin shot.

CNR International (UK) Limited emerged victorious, claiming the winner’s place on the podium. Ian Craik, of Aberdeen Framing, scooped both nearest the pin and longest drive prizes.

Susan Crighton, fundraising manager at CLAN Cancer Support, said: “The golf day is definitely one of our most popular fundraising activities and we are delighted that so many people were able to take part.

“In order to continue providing the services and support that we do, it is vital that we manage to keep raising funds and events like this are a fantastic way to do this.

“We are very grateful to everyone who took part in the event, and to Insch Golf Club for their ongoing support.”
