The unmissable Light the North Lighthouse Trail Auction is the finale to the spectacular summer-long art trail enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.

Online Registration and Bidding Information

Online Registration and Bidding for the Light the North Auction is now open! You can view the lots, register to watch and bid online here:

Event Details Monday 1st November, the online live stream will go live at 7pm, with the Auction starting at 7.30pm sharp.

RegisterBy registering with ANM Group, you will be able to watch the live stream of the Auction in real-time and place a bid, if you wish to do so.

When registering you will be asked to leave your billing details as well as your card details. This allows ANM to take your deposit (see below) and allows Clan to quickly process your bid should it be successful.

We strongly advise you register in advance of the event.

Placing your bidYou can place a bid in-advance of the event or live during the event. Please ensure you have registered, submitted your card details and logged on in advance of wishing to make a bid.

Deposit (Only required if you want to bid at the Auction) Online bidders are required to lodge a deposit of £500 with ANM Group prior to bidding. All deposits will be credit after the Auction, this may take up to 5 days from the close of the sale. The purpose of taking a deposit is to ensure only serious bids are lodged. Following the sale, successful bidders will pay their full amount directly to Clan Cancer Support.

Auction Frequently Asked Questions

There will be 50 lighthouse sculptures and 8 little lighthouse sculptures to bid for during the evening.

People interested in bidding on a lighthouse are encouraged to come along to the Farewell Weekend event to see the artwork up-close.

The lighthouses are made of fire-resistant fibreglass. Each lighthouse is approximately 2.5m tall, 75cm wide at the base, and weigh approximately 50kg.Each lighthouse is sold as seen.

While it is difficult to assess the likely amount that any sculpture may sell for, we believe a bid in excess of £3,000 should secure a sculpture. However, prices realised could be higher and we expect many sculptures to sell for considerably more.

Yes, there will be an online auction, where you can register as an online bidder.More information on this will follow. If you are interested in bidding online, please note your interest using the above form.

No, bids can’t be placed over the phone however you can place a bid in advance through the online bidding.

There is no limit on the number of sculptures you can bid on or purchase.
